About this board
About this board
Designed as a small wave performance modern fish. The Flying Kiwi features an outline which is wider in the nose and tail with a slight parallel mid-section for drive and speed helping maintain forward drive in mushy flat sections. Perfect small to medium wave board if you're looking for one board to cover most conditions, this is the one.
The thickness is shifted slightly forward of centre and the deck relatively flat, enabling added volume and increasing paddle and wave catching.
While keeping the tail thickness and tail rails thinner for control and hold at speed.
Tail shape is a curved swallow, also available with a flyer at the forward rail fin position.

A word about Flying Kiwi from Steve
The OG
Rocker
Mid to low entry rocker with accelerated tail rocker starting between the feet.
Bottom Contour
Full single concave deepest under the front foot increasing the sweet spot and generating speed while the inset double concave between fins gives extra lift while maintaining control in more grunty surf.
Can be ordered with additional 4 straight channels. This bottom increases the boards speed dramatically creates lift and hold in clean sucky conditions. The centre channel fades out on the corners of the swallow tail so provides release and forgiveness in less than perfect waves.
Rails
Medium boxy rails forward to middle of board providing performance in hollower sections but enough volume to handle fat sections and chop.
Lower rails in the tail for speed and control.
