A word about D -Log from Steve

D-Log = Daniel Proctor 2021 National Longboard Champ

The outline is mostly the Bar Fly outline with the Gem model nose in the last 12”. The midpoint is 4” back from center, there is a hip in the tail outline at 24” forward of the tail, this is where the Gem tail outline kicks in and forms a soft diamond tail completing the outline. The hand-shaped master winning board was 9’6 x 19” nose x 23 1/2” x 16 3/8” tail and 3” thick.

The rocker curve is a gentle flat curve forward of the mid-point with a slight lift in the last 6” of the nose. From the mid-point back the rocker increase to a defined flip in the last 12”.

The bottom contours are a beveled forward rail which a long teardrop nose concave drops into. The concave is deep creating maximum lift on the nose. The midsection is rolled and blends back into quite a hard V from the front of the fin box back. The deck is relativly flat rail to rail and in the back section, the tail deck line has been scooped out providing, even more, hold during nose rides and giving the tail surfing some sensitivity.

The Rails are 50/50 slightly pinched. Rolled off the bottom through the tail.

Fin set up is a classic single 10” box set 4 1/2” from the tail.

Glassing classic cut laps with 7.5oz bottom and 6 + 6 oz deck (knee and fin patches in 6 oz momentum without being rediculously ‘heavy’
